Connect in three steps

Get an API key

Sign in, open Settings, and create a key under API Keys. It looks like sw_live_… and is shown once, so copy it then. Keys need a Plus or Pro plan.

Add the server to your assistant

Use the command or the config below. Both point at the hosted server, so there is nothing to install.

Ask for what you want

For example: “Score my resume against this posting, tailor it if it is worth it, and check the result.” The assistant calls the tools; the resume stays your own document.

The server address is https://api.switchwithai.com/mcp/http/mcp. An SSE endpoint is also available for clients that do not support streamable HTTP yet; the full reference lists it.

Good to know

  • The server is for Plus and Pro plans. See pricing.
  • Tailoring uses the same monthly credits as the web app. The read-only tools (parse, score, search) do not use any.
  • The same rules apply as everywhere else: it adds only what your resume can back up, and a version that would change your layout is refused.
  • Your key is yours. Keep it out of shared configs and revoke it from Settings if it leaks.
