Career objective generator

A career objective for your resume, written from your own details.

Type your degree, the job you want and a few skills. You get two plain sentences built only from what you typed: no invented numbers, no "hard-working and passionate".

Free. No sign-up. Nothing you type is stored.

How to write one

What a good career objective says, in two sentences.

A career objective (or summary) sits under your name and tells a recruiter, in about ten seconds, who you are and what you can do for this job.

  1. 01

    Who you are

Your degree or your current role, and the field you want to work in. "B.Com graduate looking for an accounts executive role" says more than "a motivated individual".

  2. 02

    What you can already do

Two or three skills or tools you have actually used, named the way job posts name them: Tally, GST, Excel, SQL, Figma.

  3. 03

    Proof, if you have it

One project, internship or result, only as far as it is true. A number belongs here only if you can explain it in an interview.

  4. 04

    What to leave out

Adjectives about yourself (hard-working, dynamic, passionate), what you want from the company, and anything you would not be able to talk about.

Career objective or summary?

They are the same two lines with a different emphasis. A fresher writes an objective: the job they want and what they bring. An experienced person writes a summary: what they have done and what they want next. The generator writes whichever fits the details you give it.

Career objective questions

What people ask about resume objectives.

What is a good career objective for a fresher resume?

Two plain sentences: your degree and the job you want, then two or three skills or tools you have actually used, with one project or internship as proof if you have it. For example: "B.Com graduate looking for an accounts executive role. Comfortable with Tally, GST returns and Excel from a three-month internship at a CA firm."

What is the difference between a career objective and a resume summary?

A career objective leads with the job you want and suits freshers. A resume summary leads with what you have already done and suits experienced people. Both are two or three lines under your name, and both should name real skills rather than adjectives such as hard-working or passionate.

Should I write a career objective at all?

It is optional. Write one when it adds something the rest of the page does not say quickly, such as a career switch or the exact role you are aiming for. A generic objective is worse than none, because recruiters skip it and it takes space from your projects.

How long should a career objective be?

Two sentences, about 30 to 50 words. Anything longer pushes your education, projects and experience down the page, and those are what recruiters read first.

Does the generator store what I type?

No. Your details are sent once to write the objective and are not stored. The generator only uses what you typed: if its answer would add a number, tool or employer you did not mention, it is rejected and you are asked for more detail instead.

Should the objective change for each job?

Yes, at least the job title and the skills you lead with. Recruiters search applicants by the words in their own job post, so tailoring your resume to each posting, objective included, keeps those words in front of them.
